Our Moto

TEAMWORK-The ability to work together toward a common vision, the ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives, the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.
ATTITUDE- A Positive Attitude causes a chain reaction of Positive Outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.
ABOVE & BEYOND- When a team of dedicated Individuals makes a commitment to act as one, the Sky's the Limit.
CHARACTER-True Character is revealed by the clarity of one's convictions. Hold strongly to principles and refuse to follow the currents of convenience.
ADVERSITY- Does not Build Charcater, It reveals it.

This "Motto" was adopted by the Executive Board in the early part of the 2006 Season. Since adopting this "Motto" the Board has been working harder on building the TCMFL into one of the strongest Leagues in the State

Tri County Midget Football League

The Tri-County Midget Football League, was established in 1955 and Incorporated as the TCMFL in 1959, to provide our youth with supervised, competitive athletic games. The main objective of the league, is to promote sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and fair play among all players and coaches.

In the Spring of 2002 we changed our Divisions from weighted (75, 95, 115, Jr. High Unlimited) to unweighted (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior). We now go strictly by age and then Grade. Since the change to Unlimited weight, our League has really grown in size. We continually strive to make the TCMFL the strongest and largest League in the state.

In the Spring of 2006 we split into 2 Conferences, AFC & NFC, with 3 Divisions in each Conference. In doing this, we added more teams to the Playoffs. In the Spring of 2007 we added a few new Organizations which brings us to 22 Organizations. We are steadily looking for more Organizations to join the TCMFL. Also in the Spring of 2007 we added a Junior Varsity Division which was strictly for JV Players. No Varsity players were allowed to play in this division. In 2008 the JV Division folded.

In the Spring of 2010 we grew to a healthy 24 Organizations and went to 3 Conferences (Diamond, Emerald, and Onyx) with 2 Divisions in each conference. We stayed with this setup until 2013 when we started the Eastern Conference to help 6 of our Organizations with their numbers. In 2014 this number in the Eastern Conference grew to 10 Organizations.

The 2015  season is the 60th birthday of the TCMFL. The 2015 season also brings with it a new grading system and new alignment. This grading system and alignment is similar to the power point system used by the NJSIAA for the high schools. This is putting organizations against organizations with similar talent levels.

We are also attempting to restart the JV Conference. The JV Teams in this conference will have different ID Cards and NO Varsity players will be allowed to play down with NO JV players being allowed to play up. More details for the JV Conference will follow at our meetings. The attempt to start the JV Conference fell through but we are in the planning stage to accommodate JV teams next year.
